Philippine Websites Mostly Not SEO-Friendly

In narrowing down prospective finalists for the DigitalFilipino Web Awards, I realized that a lot of the prominent and beautiful Filipino websites today have been missing for failing to fix their site for search engine visibility. The very basic but most prevalent reason is the lack of unique title tag for every page in a website. As a result, you’ll notice the company name appearing as the page title, regardless of which page you view inside it. (Sun.Star Cebu)

A lof of Philippine business firms we encounter have a simple view of their web site. Most opt for fancy features and heavy graphics, some even go for Flash based full web sites. Great we say but when we reveal the SEO flaws and SEM shortcomings of their site design is the only time they get curious about the visitor experience on their site, if they get visitors at all. The challenge with SEO is to take the long term view rather than the "instant" solutions that seem attractive at first but are just quick fixes, not solutions.

I agree with you 100% Most judges noted that a lot of the local websites today are very much designed from a technical point of view. Great user-experience is still much to desire for.

some webmasters forget to incorporate keywords and metatags that best describe their site, good content with lots of relevant keywords will suffice and increase chances of getting indexed in search engines.
